Hi my name is Kim, I live in the West Mids, I love growing my own veg but unfortunately I have to grow them in a greenhouse. In our area we suffer with snails and slugs some of the slugs found in my garden at 5 to 6 inches long. Thank goodness for for copper tape :-)

Some of those very big slugs are actually carnivorous and eat other slugs, so they are friends.

The record for a British black slug (they are sometimes brown) is 16 inches!
