    There is one thing that is different this year in my garden, and that is the shortage of beasties and bugs (The bad kind) that is.
    The only plant that has been attacked is one Russian Giant sunflower.
    You can see it in the picture with the leafs slightly latticed.
    I reckon the damage was done by a high flying slug. The flower is about 10 foot tall? There are no signs of snails or slugs at ground level.
    Now Im trying to think why this is...
    I have used home grown compost which has been fermenting for over a year mixed with some peat based stuff for the new raised veg bed.
    All the pots are filled with home compost. I have tried to follow the guidelines for planting agreeable plant types and it all seems to be working well.
    Seems I must be doing something correct..
    Can I now apply for the green fingers certificate?

    I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember.
    I have won one or two minor competitions in the past.
    I even used to develop and print all my own work a few years back.
    Thank god digital is now with us.
    Oh yes,, its raining. for once our forecasters got it right!

    Ahhh, Diasy, not Daisy Robert, I didn't notice the misspelling untill you pointed it out :) The Blue of the bluebells is Awesome, The White of the Dandelion is Illuminous (spelling:) ) And the Daisy's are dazzling, Fantastic Pics Robert ... Dee..

    All beautiful flowers, capney, but the one I just love is the crocus. There is something about flowers and leaves with water drops on them.
