 There may be many of you who never liked him in his music days as he was a bit weird as was his art. A very talented person, he did some exceptional artwork too but he was someone I had a liking for, strange stuff, but sometimes we all have these odd moments..!! :dh::hehe:
    Sad to see his passing........

I didn't know his paintings Angie, but l iked his music. Also I didn't realise he suffered from MS. That's such a shame for someone so talented.

My old tutor from art college has dementia. He was a brilliant draughtsman and painter and his influence on me a as a designer was huge. I spoke to him on the phone a few days ago and we only managed to exchange a couple of sentence before he lost the plot. Very sad.

I hadn't heard that he'd gone Marley, sad that another formative figure from the 60s and 70s has departed :(

Yes it is sad Chris & John, I had found out he had MS a couple of years ago, such a cruel disease, but I didn't expect this so soon, he was so talented & it is a great loss, musically & in the art world too...

This photo is the most recent I can find of him..

I think this is my favourite of his more recent works, this self portrait...

And of course Chris if you liked his music I am sure you bought some of his LPs where he designed the covers... Trout Mask Replica for one of course..!!!

:( I have a friend suffering with Dementia too Chris & it is so so sad to see them & their memory & brain just fade away... She is very calm & lovely, but so heart breaking when she cannot remember you & is off in her own world... Sad indeed Chris...

I never 'got into' Beefheart but I know he was a character and will be sadly missed.
