    Mr S and I have decided on Aviva. £176 fully comprehensive which includes £18 no claims protection. We've also switched the main driver from Mr S to me which saved us an extra £3.

        Also changing your occupation can get your insurance lower (but don't lie) if your retired try but retired in then try house wife/ house husband etc

          @Jiffy that don't really make any difference unless you have a higher risk occupation like long distance lorry driver, taxi driver, courier etc. Insurance is all down to risk. Sports car, young driver, drink drive conviction, a ban - all high risk. Therefore, higher premium, higher excess etc.

          What sometimes does make a difference is if you insure your vehicle with only you driving (on an insured only driving basis) it could be cheaper if you add another driver because the insurer assumes you will be driving less therefore you are less of a risk ;)
