strawberries look good to me. Give them a feed and leave the foliage on till after they have fruited.

Stawberries...... look great.. don't do anything.. just water..I'm not sure how much to feed them

Carrots.. thin them now.. and next time don't sow nearly as thickly!

Peas... it's a bit late for them, but you might be lucky to get some before winter!

Thin about half an inch apart and then do another thinning in six weeks or so but this time harvest and eat the thinnings.
Each carrot at present will have two or three leaves. Just pull up a pinch of them and have a close look.

Tomato feed (high in phosphates and good for fruit development and ripening) is good for strawberries, but only after the fruit has set. Before the fruit sets a more balanced fertiliser is better.

Your peas are VERY late indeed, but you might be lucky. If the weather turns frosty you could try moving them into a sheltered position or covering with fleece.

I use tomato feed and the dosage according to instructions-I haven't ever used anything else with strawberries tbh so as far as any other type of feed-I don't know.

You should aim for ONE per half inch. If you think about the size of a mature carrot, that will give you an idea as to how much space they need. You can of course grow them closer and slowly thin out in stages and eat the thinnings.

now how is the best way to thin the carots out, cos when ive tried pulling them out it loosens all the soil up and ends up pulling nearly everything out, can i cut them just at the base, or do i need to pull everything out???

They look fine, but, next year save yourself some work and sow them thinly, you haven`t got to sow the whole packet, sow 1/4 then a month or so later sow another 1/4 and so on ,:gnthb:
That way you have them coming at different times (succesional sowing) and as each tub or bucket comes along you can thin them and eat what you thin.:D
What did you do with the thinnings :cnfs:

i gave the thinnings to a few neighbours, and i planted rest in clumps in the field at bottom of me, over grown with long grass, just thought better than throwing them, ill leave them to the elements and see what happens. thanks for the advice, ill do that next year.
