We've been to our village fete today and, apart from all the other things, they have a car show that has about 300 cars there. They were very interesting and here's just a few of them.

This car is a one-off. Here's the info about it

You'll see some bikes in the background of the picture above and here is a rather unusual one

Look at the paintwork on that Alvis! TE21??

The 2CV custom is a cracker too; shame in some ways that it has 2CV underpinnings.

The whole event was brilliant. Mrs Shiney was commenting on the condition and finish on lots of the cars there. They were obviously owned by people who loved them.

Many of them had some info explaining the history of the car and, surprisingly, quite a few were for sale!

They also had quite a few of the models that we used to own. Morris 8, Ford Anglia 105E (mine was the Super 123E, which wasn't on display :blue thumb:), Ford Popular 100E, Ford Escort GT, Ford Escort RS1600.

Nowadays I'm a sedate Volvo driver :old: :heehee:

Wow love those old cars Shiney especially the wooden one as I so like my wood:biggrin:

We went to a Festival of Transport the other week and there was a small caravan there similar to the one in your photo and it was beautiful inside:snork:

I am a bit of a terror because wherever I go if I see a sports car or vintage cars anywhere I just have to take photos of them and if possible I always ask permission first from the owner. We have a few sports cars in our village as all the youngsters have loads of dosh and I nearly gave chase of an AC Cobra the other day but I wanted to get home before my ice cream melted:snork:

Thanks for sharing the photos and glad that you and Mrs Shiney enjoyed your day:smile:

There were some Morris Minors, a couple of them were blue, but I don't remember seeing any pickups. :noidea:. There were hundreds of cars so I don't know.

I love "Kelly"! It must have been a total labour of love for the builder. I just hope that a wooden steering wheel is on the list.

They should bring back bench seats !

When I was a young man we used to use those seats for ............ Perhaps I'd better leave it there ?
