We already have a thread devoted to bikes but I thought I'd start this one for cars. We love or hate them for one reason or another but every now and again something comes along that's special to us - or a complete nightmare.

Edit 05/10/2020: I have removed an image of a Mercedes Benz from this post to protect my daughter's identity, who at the time worked for them. She's now moved on and if anyone would like to see it via personal message please ask.

Husband working one of his cars.
We also have a 1957 wing tailed convertible Cadillac, a 1969 nova hatchback race car, and a Willi coop, and a Dullie Truck, and for daily driving a Nissan and a Toyota SUV. The corvette in the picture is a fish nose 1964.

Normally, I don't get that excited by cars, except for some of the classics. I did though see a Tesla last weekend at our local Mall, and was really impressed. The link given really doesn't do it justice, as the quality of the build doesn't come across, but the thing just oozed quality and style in the flesh. Link

@redstar are you talking about a Vauxhall Nova, if so that surprises me. Do you mind me asking how you came to own it living in the USA?

Very sleek and smooth lines Freddy. :)

I first saw a Model S about a year ago - - one streaked past me at a rate of knots, and I thought I had no chance of catching it as I was driving a double decker at the time; I actually caught up with it about a mile further on, and thought it was a new model Jaguar by the first look. Closer inspection revealed the Model S badge which was duly Googled as soon as I wasn't attending a steering wheel. Stunning car, and without doubt an electric car you would actually give your eye teeth to own.

I would probably take it out for a wee run on a nice, dry, sunny day; for the rest of the year, I would have to build a centrally heated garage for it, and then move my bed in next to it, just so I could look at it before going to sleep

I don't suppose it would get through an MOT JazzSi. :) Mind you that wouldn't be an issue here, we don't have them.

Mrs Shiney - but not her car (which is a 15 year old Volvo :heehee:)

I've cropped the picture to protect the innocent :snork:

EDIT:- Just in case anyone didn't know it's an Aston Martin DB9 :blue thumb:

No me neither, I really like the car I have at the moment though a little Toyota Aygo. I really like Toyota cars, if I could afford to buy/insure/and run it I would have their Land Cruiser, it's a real brute of a thing, I love it.
