caterpillar web thingy on apple tree

    Sorry, don't know but whatever they are I don't like the look (maybe a saw fly caterpillar ??). I'd get rid of 'em before they strip your apple tree.

    Hi Gerkin

    I had those on my apple trees last year. You must get rid of them at once, otherwise, you'll end up with hundreds of caterpillars. Cut them off and burn them right now!!!

    From the leaf curl and web, its definitly a caterpillar of some kind. I agree with the others, get rid of as many of them as you can.

    you can actually see a caterpillar at the top of the pic on the stalk,,,took picture come back half hour later and there was about a dozen of the little ******s running around outside the web,now disposed of with my size 9s
