Our redcurrant bushes have been eaten alive by these

Apologies for large picture but wanted to show detail

A lot of the fruit is missing and theyve started on one plant at the top and are eating their way down the leaves

What are they and hows best to get rid and stop them in future years ?

It's gooseberry sawfly and they'll strip a bush before you can blink if you don't stop them.
To saveme typing here's a link to the RHS advice about the pest.

We'd an attack about a month ago but I sprayed with some d****s that I'd got left over in the shed since before it was banned. It got rid of the little blighters no problem.
