    Greetings all,

I planted from seed some cauliflowers in pots, then planted on into a raised bed within the tunnel. They have reached the 5 leaf stage so now I was going to plant them outside but on close inspection I can see that the stems have bent over on top of the soil about half an inch, dont know why I did not see this before. Do I just replant them making sure all the stem is underground, this would mean that the lower leaves will be just touching the ground.

    Russ.

    Hi Russ

The little devils will do this, won't they? I seem to remember that deeper planting used to be frowned upon for some resaon but I've done it myself without any ill effects. I also used to tie any particularly floppy ones to little stakes to keep them off the ground.
