ceanothus autumnal blue

Anyone know from personal experience of growing this shrub remember how much it grew (in height and breadth) per year for its first couple of years?

I'm aware of what books and the internet suggests, just want a bit of real life feedback so I can plan the planting of mine (currently potted and about 4' tall).

I've planted a few Ceanothus Concha, and they grow fairly fast (3 years to get to 2m high, and they were under 3 feet high when I bought them)

have read that they don't live for long though
