    ....ok, to celebrate my first 1000 posts (:D) I'm offering some fresh Cerinthe seed; I've got a bumper crop of seed this year, if anyone would like some PM me and I'll give you my address to send a SAE to (that's all I ask) :thumb:

      Hi Sheal, they prefer light well drained soil in full sun; occasionally they are short lived perennials but are better grown as annuals really. They can self seed prolifically, popping up in cracks between paving stones etc... Oh and bees love them :thumb:

      Thanks Bilbo, I'll have to think on this one, I haven't got a full sun situation but have a sandy soil. Also a bit worried about the self seeding. :)

      I love cerinthe about a foot high and lots of lovely purple heads lovely round a bed :WINK1:,and they will self seed, I lost all mine last year in the winter and had no seed saved (gave it away also):wallbang:

      BUT 1 plant grew in my neighbours gravel so I pulled it up and put it in a pot :sunny:,then transplanted into garden after work. :yess:I am hoping that will seed and did manage to get about 6 seeds saved. :WINK1:
