I bought some celeraic seeds on a bit of a whim - are they easy to grow?

Not very, FC, but apparently the secret is to never let them go short of water.....

They do need a nice rich soil and as noisette says they mustn't be allowed to dry out....in mid to late summer remove some of the outer stems to expose the crown to light...around the end of september mound the soil around the base....:blue thumb:

They can be kept in the ground all winter too and don't lose their flavour ....just mound the soil over the top of them....:dbgrtmb:

The seed is pretty tiny, so after sowing in seed tray / similar then they do need some growing on before you can prick them out. I grow on as 9cm pots and then plant out when they are ready.

They need a long growing season (so get a wiggle on, eh?!!) and plenty of water in summer.
