celery

    simple question,whats the method for growing celery?

    Self blanching - grows "above ground".

    Old fashioned type, plant in a trench, earth up (usually put newspaper round them, to stop the grit getting between the stalks, I think) to blanch them

    Lots of water needed.

    Sow in Mar-Apr and plant out in May/June (from memory)

    Either way, its quite a lot of work and not a plant I would class as "easy".

    i have about 2 dozen seedling about 3'' tall and growing well:thumb:

    I wasn't going to let on, but mine are that size too. The "plant out in May/June" hasn't quite happened yet!
