Goining to change the front garden as of tomorrow (Tuesday).
Taking everything out and putting shingle down then placing three terracota pots on the bed.
Will put in spring, summer and winter plants when required.
    Low maintenance!

Careful. I decided to go low maintenance when I started with arthritis. You need at least 4 inches deep of gravel, even with membrane (which is useless).

This area was graveled in May.

Ah well. Nobody ever said there were any easy gardening answers. [IMG]

Once a year, at the begining of the growing season, I sprinkle a granulated weed killer on all the shingled areas and this keeps weeds at bay.
Gives me more time to sit in the garden and enjoy it instead of working like mad.
    Boy, I'm lazy!

You need to take it up and do it again John, bag the gravel, kill the weeds, level the ground, put a good heavy duty membrane down and 4" of gravel, sorry but in my oppinion ther's no easy fix.
