Wow, now that is some garden to walk in whatever the season. A lorra hard work has gone into it clearly - but my goodness the payback is worth it.

What lovely gardens, whatever the season!
Yes I agree, all your hard work has paid off to the 'grand finale'. Apart from 'upkeep and tidying'are you constantly finding things to do in your gardens, or are they 'finished 'now and there to just enjoy?
Do you decide to make any changes as every new year comes about, or have you 'been there, done that' and everything is now as you want it????? Just interested, thats all!

    Garden looks lovely Petal,
Redfifi, whilst one can never really say that a garden is finished, we do not plan any more big changes. Not that, that means anything. Things happen and needs change. There are some things which need altering though age and infirmity make it harder to do, we shall see.

Aren't we all so lucky to have gardens. I could leave my house tomorrow if I could take the garden with me. It is so full of happy memories of places visited where I bought a plant or friends who've given me plants or cuttings. I LOVE MY GARDEN.

[IMG] Oh I say everyone those gardens are lovely.. Worth all the work :D :D
[IMG] Palustris, I think yours is wonderful. I loved the slide show. Absolutely beautiful.. :D Thank you for sharing. I am assuming you started this garden from scratch??
Has the feel of being reclaimed from fields to it. Am I right? I liked the way it is almost like wandering into different rooms as you move around. The lovely pathways. So much imagination needed for all that planning I am sure. Did you create the hillock? I now fully understand some of your comments made in posts here & there. You are certainly working on a grand scale there. I know lots of hard work!!! Worth all of it though beleive me. Beautiful :D :D

Sorry MF, did not see your comment until today. Thank-you, glad you enjoyed the tour. We moved here abour 11 years ago to a field full of rubbish abd weeds. there were just a couple of trees and a bit of 'garde' near the house. The results are all down to us. We have removed somewhere in the region of 30 tons of detritus from the land. Fortunately there is a reasonable natural slope from top to bottom and all we have had to do is increase it in places and decrease it in others. Hard work at times, but fun.
