Charlie Watts

Charlie Watts has passed away, he was the drummer of the rolling stones. He was recovering from a procedure and that's all that they will say.

 

Yes saw it on the 6 o'clock news , very sad . Must say I was shocked to hear he was 80!! Gosh scary that the idols from my youth are now that old!.

 

He did suffer from throat cancer a while back, perhaps it sadly returned.

 

Sad to hear but yes they are all fairly old now, Bill Wyman (ex bassist) is 84!!!

 

Damn! They were supposed to be playing our local festival next year! RIP Charlie....

 

They've got a understudy called Steve Jordan, all the tour will still go ahead.

 

Yes a shame , though still a good age and enjoyed a good life.

The Stones were our #1 band in our teenage years, but with a current average age of about 76 it makes you wonder how much longer they will perform ?
Ronnie Woods having recovered from two bouts of cancer in 2017 must find it hard to be on those very strenuous tours.
