    How can I remove the icon and task bar from the bottom of the screen please? I'm not happy about this idea, again it smacks of Facebook and we don't need it. Conversation/PM works perfectly well.

            You used to be able to disable in your preference page of your account, but i'v just tried it and it doesn't work anymore, so as Zigs says, but you will have the little button still there :sad:

              I have had a little tinker under the bonnet, and think I have managed to disable the troublesome component, however can I please make you all aware that this has almost certainly disabled the chat bar for everyone (whether it is enabled in your profile or not) - if this is a problem for anyone, or if you continue to be bothered by the chat bar, I'd be grateful for a PM or a tag on this thread.

              Thank you all for your patience, and a special mention to @NorthantsGeezer and @Sheal for their assistance in diagnosis :)
