Has anyone tried the RHS's AI tool ChatBotanist?
I asked it to suggest plants for an unheated greenhouse, and it suggested a tropical orchid. I rephrased my question, and this time it suggested an Acer. I am not impressed!

I couldn’t decide if that was informative or simply funny! Not a very professional look for the RHS anyway. Is it on their website, I might pootle over and take a look

      Ugh!

Firstly, I’m no longer a member of the RHS after they were very rude to me once, but this strikes me as just another way to make somebody, somewhere redundant.

This forum, and others like it, can offer so much more in terms of helping you with your individual, particular question - your position on the map, altitude, rainfall, etc etc.

Let’s stick with real people with real knowledge. I can’t understand this fascination with bots.

It says "We've started teaching ChatBotanist everything we know (which is a lot!)". Still a lot to learn it seems . The Grow App mentioned on that page looks useful, if it works!
