Thank you for the tour of Chatsworth Martin. :dbgrtmb: It has very gaudy styling and I wouldn't want to do the cleaning either! :)

                        Thanks, Martin
Chatsworth is my favourite of all the big houses.
It has a fascinating history, including links to the Kennedy's & Astaire's.
The present gardens were laid-out by Joseph Paxton and has the most powerful gravity fed fountain in the country.

I always try to visit at Christmas, when they excel with their 'Chatsworth at Christmas' themed openings.

I took the attached pic during one of those visits.

Martin......those are rhubarb forcing pots, although they can be used for forcing other stuff.

Enjoy Bakewell, another favourite of mine.

Martin, you'll really enjoy your visit to Bakewell Show, I would advise pacing yourself, as it can be quite taxing on your legs.
The weather forecast indicates that there may be a light shower in the afternoon, so perhaps some light rainwear at hand may be worth considering.

I believe those terracotta, rhubarb forcing pots date back to the 1850s, introduced by the ever inventive Victorians.
