    Hi Guys,

I was wondering if you can help me with replacing a new lawn as I am brand new to gardening and realize that there are a few different options however want to know which would be best and keep the costs down.

The size of the lawn is 20 square metres aprox.

For example would i need to use a Rotavator before i start?

what time of year is the best time to do it?

Any help would be very greatful.

    All the best, Kaz :o

Yep, seed is the cheapest. And if you ask me, the least hassle and most satisfying. Now is a very good time to sow a new lawn, with warm soil and plenty of moisture about.

You shouldn't need a rotovator. If the ground is in reasonable condition, just dig it over and incorporate lots of organic matter. Then away you go.
