Cherries on a plate.

    Can anyone help me.....there used to be a rhyme about cherry stones. When you ate a cherry you put the stone on the plate, etc,etc...can anyone remember the rhyme?:thumb:

    I remember one about something like...........soldier,sailor, rich man, poor man, beggarman, thief - it was supposed to tell you who you would marry:)

    I am a bit confused mesel now....it was the soldier, sailor one I was thinking about...but I thought that was with cherry stones???:confused:

    Although why I would want to marry another fella??

    The one I know is Tinker, Tailor, Soldier,Sailor,Richman,Poorman,Beggerman,Thief.I usually do it with any fruit that I get lots of stones or pips from but I always seem to end up with Poorman or Thief,never Richman,though not sure what I would do with a sailor if I had one;):rolleyes::D

    I mis-read this - I thought it said 'cherry on a plate', so I was going to suggest....

    I remembered the tinker tailor one the next day, that was to do with cherry stones, I even remember spreading them round the edge of the plate. I never got the rich man either.
