It’ll soon be cherry time and I am thinking how to keep the birds off(as much as I love them)
I’m thinking that some kind of net bag big enough to cover bunches or groups of ripe fruit ,and not liking the idea of tights.
I did try to net the tree last year but they found a way underneath ,it’s quite large.
    Any bright ideas?

:) Hi there. I have seen Christmas tinsel, old cassette tape and CDs dangling from trees here. Can be quite attractive. :heehee:

Dont actually see much netting around here in the orchards.
I think they sometimes have the old bird scarers going off bang but not so much these days:scratch:

I put CDs around, plus a scarecrow. The scarecrow moves from tree to tree as the crops ripen, so the birds don't get used to him being in one place. It's worked so far this year :) 20171214_111806.jpg
