cherry tomato leaves go yellow and brown, then dry out

I have a cherry tomato plant which I grow in a pot. It started out fine but recently its leaves begin to dry out. The drying starts from the button leaves, then spread upwards, there are some yellow spots on the leaves. The plant itself is still growing, so I'm hoping to identify the problem, if there is one...

I've done some research online and I'm guessing it's early blight, but I'm still not entirely sure, anyone can help, please? If it is early blight, is there anything I can apply to the plant?

Where is the plant being kept ,and what size pot ? do you have other tomatoes that are ok ?

Hello Dave,
The plant is placed by the window in my kitchen to ensure it's getting plenty of direct sun light. The plant is put into a 7.5in pot last weekend. This is the only tomato plant I have as I bought it off from my neighbour, but my herbs on the same windowsill seem to be OK.

 

It mostly looks like scorch to me, ie. wet leaves in full sun.

 

That's what I would say also Pete, hence asking where it was kept ..

Good point, when I transferred the plant from the small pot to the bigger pot, some water may had gone on the leaves by accident...
