Cherry tree placement

Apparently, I now have a cherry tree... I confess, it was very much a case of 'oooh, look at that, and it is the last one' - worse still, I don't like cherries (I tolerate them only in a Black Forest ). On the upside, Mrs C & Miss C both do, so we are all good there. Where is best in terms of placement for it? I have the plum tree in the corner on the sunny side of the garden, so was thinking over on the other side near the greenhouse, but not in full shade? I have another Acer that will want to be more in the shade on that same corner, but there is room.
