Chicken Manure Pellets

Hi - I have a 10KG tub of chicken manure pellets that has never been opened and is 5 years old. Do you think it is still good to use?

If the lid is still sealed I don't see why they shouldn't be okay. Open it and see if they have deteriorated, if they look normal then I would use them. If you're a little wary then try them in one spot in the garden first and see what happens.

 

I've used old ones from open tubs too, at the bottom of the planting hole, so long as they are still in pellet shape - ie haven't got damp. Plants still seem to say a foliage "yumm!".

 

I'd have thought they would be fine, I'd use them
