It was a great day out, although it was very busy there (e.g. 1/2 hr queue standong in line waiting to pay to get in) it was well worth visiting. There were so many stalls and stands providing tasters or sauces, chutneys, jams etc etc - not all chilli related. The gardens at West Dean college are worth wandering around as well, all in all a very good day out. If you plant to go today get there early as there is way too much to see in a single day. Also try and remember where you parked your car!

It was difficult to take photos as there were so many people, here are a few of the plant sales area:

Great pics John. Shame I didn't see this thread until now - we were out and about on the motorbikes in that part of the world and could have popped in.

Its definately worth visiting Aaron, I'll be going next year. We spent about 4 hours there, but I wish we had much more time as there is so much to see there.

Fabulous :gnthb:. Wish I was there.

I don't think that the chilli festival that we are going to at the end of August will be as good. Last time we went there were quite a few stalls selling chilli products and snacks - which was good - but not a lot of plants for sale. That didn't bother us as we have plenty of our own :yho:

You would have liked it shiney, there was chilli beer to sample, I think I prefer the normal stuff, it took me quite a few samples to make my mind up ;)

Let us know what your festival is like.
