    Hi ,
Has anyone grown chilli plants , had fruit develope and then go off( brownish and not edible looking?)
The plant seems healthy and has fruited earlier in the year.I was wondering weather it was a pollenation problem? [IMG]

It could be that its got cold and damp and the chilli's have just rotted. Where do you have the Plants about?

It seem a strange time of the year to have fruiting chillis in the UK LL.
Most people are just about sowing the seed now. [IMG]

I've over wintered mine in the kitchen near a window. It's not damp, but I wonder if over watering could do it? Does anyone know how much water chilli plants need. They are also coming into flower again so I hope this latest crop doesn't go brown and yucky again! [IMG]

I dont think many people grow them as perrenials LL, you may have found the reason why.
I dont think our dark winter days are particually good for plants like chillies, even if you have been able to provide enough heat on your window sill to keep them going.
Perhaps with the days now getting longer you will have less problems from now on. [IMG]
