Chilli or Weed

    My Son has been growing assorted chilli peppers and this has grown in one of the pots. To me it looks like a weed.

    Can anybody verify if indeed this is a chilli or just a garden weed?

    Thank you for any help you can give.

    Looks like a weed to me, i could be wrong though.......looks like its going to flower/open though soon.

      :scratch: Well the leaves look wrong for a chilli to me, but it does look a bit like Gysophila elegans or Babies breath to me.. Used in flower arranging & as a border annual usually..

      The buds have now come into flower and it is most certainly some kind of weed.

      Oh the look on Dan's face when he realised it wasn't a Jalokia!!!
