Chilli

    Hi,

    Is anyone good with growing chillis?

    Any advice? Can we start hot chillis soon?

    I did check by the way for a similar thread with the search box, but couldnt find anything!

    Hi Val. Bit early yet. They need starting in warm conditions and then transferring to a greenhouse. If you haven't got a greenhouse then it is definitely too early by miles. Even with my new greenhouse I won't plant mine until March. It's not just heat, it's light levels too. They need long days.

    Hi crowley


    i started mine off last yr the beginning of feb as i could'nt wait any longer :D

    i have a conservatory so i sowed them in a black pot (absorbes heat) placed cling film over them and put them in the window with the raidiator underneath they took 5 days to come through and i had loads of chillis and did the same with my peppers i did put them on the patio during summer ,

    i will be doing the same agin next friday can't wait lol
