This year I have overwintered 2x locoto, 1x aji limon, 1x jalapeno 1x orange pepperoncini. I'll probably start more of the locotos, aji limon and jalapenos from seed too.

      Will also grow
      Aji Norteno
      Aji Benito
      Aji Mochero.

      What is everyone else growing?

I have Janurary 16th on my calendar as the 21st day after starting my soil blocks with new seeds. Last year I only got a few to germinate and then the entire crop with the exception of the Shineybrids, was decimated by white fly.

        Ever hopeful Lori... ;)

I'll just be growing my ShineyHybrids unless I get orders for Nagas.

All I'm planning to grow is Tabasco. Last year's Hungarian Hot Wax were very prolific but were too mild.

Or maybe I should try Jalapenos.

I thought about JalapeƱos too but read they are less spicy than Hungarian Hot Wax.

The thing is, with chillis I dont taste anything spicy as such, all I get is heat.
I was under the impression that Jalapenos were not as hot as chillis.

I would actually like a sweet pepper with a small amount of heat, just for putting in a salad, I dont actually use them much in cooking.

I'm like @pete I don't like the heat higher than black pepper level.

I grow the hot stuff because just about everyone I know likes the hot stuff. And why bake or cook things for them without adding chillies where possible.

Have you tried a Padron pepper?

Yeah, might be worth a try @Loofah , but it appears they are best cooked, but interesting all the same.

:doh:I actually meant to write poblano! Apologies, I think I've been reading too many recipe books recently. You might also check out ancho peppers, both types are milder than jalapeno
