Chillies wont ripen

Hi I brought a chilli plant from gardeners world live this year I think its called man o fire.
Anyway I have had one big green chilli sitting on the plant now for 3 months now and it still hasnt turned red whys this? Its put a lot of growth the last month or so im hoping the rest will turn redbut am I doing anything wrong as this is my first time growing chillies

Hi I woudnt worry, its the poor summer we have had plus my tomato's have only gone red in the past two weeks, and chillies/peppers always follow at least two weeks later.

Are you growing in a greenhouse ??
