We are promised another cold snap this weekend , night temps dropping to 2 or 3°c .
Do I need to cover my Mangetout ?
Will anything else be better off protected ?

    TIA

I suspect Wigan may see lower than 2-3C to be honest, I dont really like to say this, but in any case I'd say plan for more like -1C, and it'll cover you.

Anything that has a risk of getting early growth burnt off, either move into shelter, or fleece/cover. It looks like a period of cold days (for the time of year), and mostly frosty nights for the 7 days following tomorrow.. thereafter I'm not sure, but I'd definitely employ a little more care and attention during that period.

Peas should be ok, but like Stephen says, fleece won't do any harm.

Sods law i've just planted my beans out, there was no frost forecast for the coming weeks, now they are saying -2c

This gardening lark is getting more like gambling at Monte Carlo not that I have ever tried it!
