Was really looking forward to a nice evening or five poring over it only to find it really difficult to read, seems to be printed on paper the thickness of a cigarette paper so the back printing shows through. Anyone else noticed this or do I have a duff one? The veg seed one is fine though.

p.s. Is it just me or does the image on page 11 of the Veg Book make you think of Zigs?

Like your choices, Ian. I'm going to get some of the penstemons for next summer I think. I got those night scented stocks this year and the scent was gorgeous. Lasted right through till November and even gave some scent off on very dull days.

I've never liked the Chilterns catalogue layout.
Its on thin paper maybe, but why is it that stupid shape??
As soon as you put it down it closes up, being so long and thin.
They even supplied bookmarks a few years ago, would have been much simpler to have just made it a more sensible shape.

They send me the catalogue, but I find it easier to view it online.

More pictures (fair enough, costs money to print photos, and more postage for more paper), but the moment I find something I think I like I google it - will it grow on Alkaline soil? Let me see lots of pictures from people who really grew one, rather than a marketing agent's photos!

And how many seeds do other vendors put in the packet, and what do they charge for them?
