        Sad isn't it.

Christmas used to be special when it was limited to 12 days instead of 2 months.

Ok wait....when you say "Christmas lights", do you mean coloured lights or clear one's? I leave up twinkle lights (small clear ones) all year long hidden in tree's, and yes they are plugged in, but to put up coloured ones, haven't done that yet but planning to this weekend.:)

But I agree Zigs, the magic of Christmas has gone, goods have been in the shops since September, T.v. advertising, when we only had real Christmas trees they were not put up until 7-10 days prior, due to needle drop, and it was all a build up.

I put my Xmas lights up first weekend in December , and we do like them twinkling ! I have white lights on my apple tree , but the controller always selected a flashing pattern that would induce a fit , every time we switched them on ! I have rewired them so they are just on with no flash, next problem is to stop Molly chewing the wires !
