I just have to try and grow cinnamon basil this year, this sounds absolutely delicious. Has anyone else grown and cooked with cinnamon basil in the U.K?

I love cinnamon and I love basil ... but somehow can't figure how my tastebuds would get around this. Where have you got the seeds from, Ashes?

Cinnamon Basil is a sweet basil that contains cinnamate, it's the same chemical that gives cinnamon its flavour.

You can buy the seeds from Marshall Seeds or on Ebay. I will be getting some more next week and will send you some seeds if you'd like?

I'd love a few seeds please if you can spare some. Just a few will do to produce at least one plant and in return i can send you some Mecanopsis Betonicifolia seeds if mine produce flowers this year.

I'm not a big fan of Basil but i love cinnamon...does it still have that strong 'Baisly' taste or is it mellowed by the cinnamon flavour? sounds interesting....:chicken:
