How beautiful .. and how sad .. I lived in Buckinghamshire from 1978-2001 and never visited there. Almost bought in the Claydons but lived in Whitchurch then moved south to Upton / Dinton.

For my sins I am also lived in Luton ... :love30:

I fished in the lakes in the grounds of Claydon House many times in my younger days, but have never visted the house.

I had friends in Whitchurch an use to drink in the White Horse + the one on the road to Oving that's now no longer a public house. I also lived a farm outside Upton about 25 years ago.

It's a small world Scrungee and we may have crossed paths more than once. I lived on White Horse Lane from 1978-1984 and in Upton from 1984-2001. :)

Free entry to the gardens yesterday (Heritage Open Day event). I've been through them before with somebody who worked there, but much later in the year and didn't take any pics. Managed to time it right and catch the only 45 minutes when it wasn't raining today (but still grey skies).

Only thing was that I somehow managed to accidentally change the pic sizes to 'square'!
