clematis damage

Had a lot of problems with my clematis montana last year , the leaves turned a mottled brown , chopped it right back and moved it so its not in the morning sun , ive had the same problem with a climbing rose .I bought some rose clear today , can i use that on the clematis as well ,i`ve never had this problem before

 

You can use Rose Clear on most ornamentals Linda. If you check the directions it should tell you the plants NOT to use it on.
