    Been out in the garden "Weeding" today, thought I would share this with you, it's Miss Bateman an early flowing type, been out about 2 weeks now so will be coming to an end soon. I get a bit confused about pruning Clematis so left a couple unpruned this year and this one certainly seemed to have liked it.

    My sister has this variety in her garden it does not look as good as this...How old is it Sue?

    It's only about three years at the most, previous years it has looked a little stragely so I pruned it right down to abour 6" but this year I just left it and it looks so much better, probably prune it lightly in December this year and see what happens.
