    Hi,

I've recently bought 4 clematis plants. 3 of them are flowering and doing very well. One however wilted all the way down within a week! To save it, like google research suggested, I cut it down to almost the ground level. That was 2 weeks ago..

I now wonder, has it completely died, would it come back still this season (it's only June) or do I now have to wait a year for anything new?

    Any suggestions much appreciated !

I've just googled and it says, if you have to cut it all back, it will regrow next season, the wilt doesn't effect the roots only the growing stems.
