Hi dancing queen and a warm welcome to GC. Clematis needs to have its feet in the shade and its head in the sun, all sorts as far as I know. You have a nice collection of flowering plants, it will be a lovely show when everything blooms. I would think that most everything that doesn't get overly large would be suitable to put in a pot. Other GC members will be along soon to give more specific help.

    Hello Dancing Queen and welcome!
I'm a long way from being a clematis expert (actually that's just one thing I'm a long way from being an expert on...) but there is a very good article on clematis in Gardener's World magazine this month (april - not sure if it's in the shops yet, I subscribe so get it a bit early I think) which might help you [IMG]

There's a nice evergreen clematis suitable for a pot - Pixie, and one for hanging baskets, Sunstar (not evergreen). I use both.

    pixie

    sunstar
