clematis

    im putting a clematis in the ground to cover my back fence. which fastgrowing evergreen clematis would be best suited for this??.

    The only easily available evergreen Clematis is C. armandii, it is not extremely fast growing though. It flowers in later winter early spring and smells wondereful.

    yes i have on of those in the front garden thought there might be other ones but looks like there hard to get hold of thanks for reply

    Have a look here for a list of evergreen clematis. Some are easier to get hold of than others and some are more evergreen than others and some are tender and some are small, but choice is the name of the game.

    Hi Palustris, that's a good site!
    I have Cirrhosa 'Freckles' which has been evergreen here, it has smallish flowers and not scented, but grows fast. Also easily obtainable.
