      No, its an Inferior Oolite Limestone.

      You should have got the superior stuff.
      Had to look it up , this limestone goes all the way back to Yorkshire , in places up to 120 metres thick.
      Are the Yorkshire dales made out of IOL ? I love the dales with the big limestone escarpaments and the typically dale shaped valleys :blue thumb:

        The Dales are formed from Carboniferous limestone, nearly twice as old as the Jurassic, stuff they use for Railway ballast :)

                    One of my favourite overnight beach fishing spots B.B. Caught a fair sized Bass from there just in the surf.
