I have a shaded balcony in large pots i have been succesful these past four years growing honeysuckle, russian vine{mile a minute}excellent fast growing and jasmine. I have a hop golden vine fast growing it died down had it 3 years thought it had gone and it has come back with a vengeance.
I tried passion flower with little success however it may be worthyou trying it a hardy one as they are fast growing, my friend has one it is superb, put in a large pot last year a summer flowering climbing shrub called solanum {glasnevin ideal for walls or trellis brilliant coverage flowering now light purple little flowers with yellow centres quick grower.
hope i have been of some help good luck
