    Hi,

This is my first post.........so here we go!

My neighbour had cut down their hedge which gaveus privacy , now people wave at me whilt I sit having my breakfast in my dressing gown - n ot my best look!

My lovely hubby has put trellis up with the view to me growing some climbers on our little decked area in pots.

Any ideas how we can cover them quickly, I have read lots about clematis, honeysuckle, fatshedera - should I go for all or only one, it is an area approx 10 feet wide and the trellis is about 6 feet high.

I would appreciate any help in growing some plants, flowers would be nice but not compulsory and ever green would be best.

    Blessings.

Evening, Jamie and welcome to the site. if you want evergreens, there are several Clematis to choose from, all winter flowering. I would choose one of the Cirrhosas, if you want summer flowering, then go for one of the evergreen or semi evergreen honeysuckles.:thumb:

If you want something to fill it in fast I 'd go for a summer annual climber like morning glory or sweet peas, getting a bit late now unless you can buy some plants, with a mind to introducing a more long term planting for next year, which could be put into place ths year.
The long term ones, are as David has suggested

[IMG] Jamie not very nice being in full view when you just want to slob around the place is it? Good luck with finding the ideal plants for your little trellis as the guys have said clematis are great maybe a large leaf ivy with a variegated leaf as well would do the trick.Hel.xxx.

    Hi Jamie!

Do you use your Magic Torch at night to go slug hunting???

Welcome to the forum - all your choices sound great for climbing plants - although if you choose a Clematis Montana you probably won't have any room left for anything else after the first growing season!

Take a photo of your trellis once you have decided what to plant there!
