Hi all. After a long illness I have finally been able to get to the garden albeit limited. In the hedge rows of mixed hedging it has become quite thin in places and in some parts there are holes.
Can anyone please recommend climbers or such like that will fill in the gaps which are located in shady areas.
    Thanks..

I'm glad to hear you are on the mend Tony. :) I'm wondering if it would be better to plant new hedging in the gaps. With a mixed hedge I think Honeysuckle would be a good choice and they are available as deciduous and evergreen.

Glad you have finally managed to get in the garden it certainly helps with coping with illness. I hope you continue to improve and gardening helps you with that :-)

Sorry for the delay in replying. Many thanks for the ideas.
Never heard of Scottish Flame, so will keep my eye open, Honeysuckle and Clematis, would work well as I want to get some variation and smells into the hedge.
At least I can prepared for the Autumn.
Feeling much better thank you, it's amazing what a little bit of fresh air and fragrance of the garden can do, some times the ideal medicine.
    regards..
