    Sod's flipping law!
I looked at the moon last night, thought about taking a pix but didn't. Got up to a beautiful clear sky today, thought to myself 'I'll set up the camera this afternoon and get a shot after dark'. Clouds rolled in about 3.00pm and now can't even detect a glimmer of the moon!:cry3:

Looks like both sun and moon shine on you Woo :D

 Woo what would we do without you..!!! Fantastic shot mate... :yahoo: It has been a beautiful day here, very little cloud, I keep popping out to check, but the cloud is so thick you cannot even see where the moon is behind the cloud.... :cry3:

Have you noticed during an eclipse there is like a spooky cold air. I noticed the same today in the day time. Or maybe it is just my imagination...

Its spooky that you should say that petal, I was aware 3 times today that it all felt very calm. The sort of calm you experiance before a storm:scratch:

One I got earlier its not very good quality because of the distance, about a mile and a half away.

Good morning John and thank you,I will rephrase that statement, :heehee:the mile and a half referred to the distance from the camera lens to the subject ie the cathedral and not the distance of the moon from the earths surface which is 250,000 miles (384,400 kilometres) from Earth.:rolleyespink::rofl:

Thank you for the great pics, Woo.
It was a beautiful, clear night here last night and we were all outside admiring the moon and the stars. Just beautiful.
I knew you would be out there with your camera getting great pics for us

At long last, but almost too late I managed to grab a shot this evening. Moon rising over the hills across the river. Not a great shot as I''ve not got used to the lens I was trying.

I went out Friday night and drove home with an uninterrupted view of it all the way! But silly me, I thought "tomorrow it's going to be spectacular with a full moon" little realising it was a one night event.

How can the moon move that much in 24hrs?
