My lawn is in pretty good condition at the moment with next to no weeds in it. But have noticed clover weeds are beginning to creep onto it in one or two areas. What is the best way to get rid of it before it spreads all over ?

I don't consider clover a weed in my lawn, in fact I quite like it as it makes the grass green up.

I consider clover a weed in my lawn :hehe:, and use selective herbicide to kill it off. Clover is more difficult to kill, in lawns, than the normal broad leaf weeds, so I recommend that you look for a specific clover herbicide (suitable for use in lawns) which you will need to spray on the effected areas..

I let it grow too. With the kiddies running over the lawn the grass gets patchy and the clover fills in nicely. In my top lawns I let it flower for the nectar addicts:)

Funnily enough, just as Bally is looking to get rid of clover, I've been scouring the 'green manure' section of the organic gardening catalogue and am leaning towards buying some crimson clover. It looks nice, is popular with bees, and can be chopped down and dug into the garden to improve the soil.
