This is growing under my Lilac tree. Haven't seen it on the bank before.
The leaves are about 40mm across. This area was flooded and I'm wondering if seeds have been left during the flood.
Surely it's not just 'normal' clover

Looks like normal clover thats doing rather well, to me Pal.

A good nitrogen fixer I believe.

I think it is red clover - I have nurtured one for the bees near my pond. Could be wrong, but I think they grow bigger than the white ones you often find in lawns (or maybe the lawn ones stay short through regular trimming!)

I hope it spreads...trouble is that I am in the process of locating a WW11 Air Raid shelter built into the bank it's growing on and it's bound to be disturbed:rolleyes:

jjordie, I'm posting photo's using the'Insert Link'. The 'Insert Image' does nothing at all!
Thanks for the Avatar link. Nice to be back in the saddle!

Pal, if you are still not able to post a pic using the [IMG] then Daisees has just put the following instructions on the 'How To' thread - if you haven't seen them yet hope they will help but it seems to be working the way you are doing it now.
(Daisees says this info is going to be updated soon)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    Using PB
Copy the "Direct Link" instead of the "IMG Tag"
    - then, from the group of icons above the message box (Quick Reply or Go Advanced) you'll find this one [IMG]
    - click on that and you'll get a pop-up box in which you paste it. The image will instantly appear in the message.

That is, of course, if you have updated your account to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing".

    To do that
    - go into your User CP (top left),
    - then Edit Options,
    - scroll down to the very bottom
    - in the box "Message Editor Interface" there is a drop-down menu with that option.

That clover looks lovely and healthy and happy where it is growing. Lovely for the bees soon.

Any four leafed individuals? They make lovely little good luck presents when pressed and fixed to something.

    Kath :)
