I usually just use instant coffee but I do like real coffee just cant be bothered.
Anyway bought one of these but cant seem to get a decent cup of coffee out of it, I've only, up till now, managed half a cup of sickly tasting over creamy goo.
I know maybe I'm not doing it right but a cuppachino seems to need two pods, one with the milk and one with the coffee but the milk tastes like it gone off and I only get a tiny amount for two swallows and its gone.

I also bought so called flat white, same odd tasting milk and again only half a cup.

Anyone use this kind of coffee maker, the pods I'm using are Nescafe dolce doodah .

    Cant say I'm impressed ATM.

    This is the offending article.

We have a Tassimo and the better half loves it. Usually has a couple of cups a day. I manage one but if truth be told, I am just as happy with a cup of Lor instant.

Mrs JWK has a Bosch tassimo machine and is happy with that, she only has americanos which is black coffee of course so can't comment on any of the milky pods. I only drink tea and if there is no choice I have to drown coffee in real cream to make it drinkable. In waiting rooms I sometimes have tea from drinks dispensers that use powdered milk and it's appalling, so I would hate to think what a coffee pod is like.

I was hoping I was going to get the real coffee taste.
I stupidity thought that the pods contained ground coffee not just a mix of instant coffee and powdered milk.

I'm going to try the americano and see what that is like I can put my own milk in it, in fact I'd prefer it that way.

Had a DeLonghi expresso machine (or it's offspring) for 40 years now. It's not too demanding to put proper ground coffee in the holder, water in the cuve, switch it on and froth some real milk  A little sprinkle of powdered chocolate on the top and Robert's your father's brother!
As said above, any form of artificial milk or cream would be pretty ghastly, and you don't know what scrapings are used for the 'coffee' in those pods. Not to mention the billions of little bits of plastic and foil waste being created :nonofinger:

T'other Half has the DeLonghi Espresso and prefers it to the Krupps he previously had. I rarely drink coffee but occasionally have a milky one.

Don't like to drink coffee regularly, too much caffeine for an anxious person like me! Prefer 2-3 cups of tea a day. But I do like to have a cup of black coffee a couple of times a month so still have my old coffee machine which was given to me by a friend many years ago. Mine just uses ground coffee and water.

I assumed the same and am really surprised to read that, sounds like a truly repulsive, inauthentic concoction! I've always hated instant coffee!

I'm not really into decaf to be honest, i was hoping for the real taste of coffee.
                      Maybe Nick would be interested.

I'm going to get some americano pods and try them, aleast you appear to get a full cup from them.
If they are not good I'll see if I can sell it on, really disappointed to be honest.

The Tassimo (we use the L'OR XL Classique Coffee Pods) uses real coffee grounds. The Creamer is a liquid and doesn't taste the least artificial.
